My Garden in March and April

Overall, I think I have a pretty green thumb, my mint survived and it's growing at a fast pace. My thyme plant did not wilt and still grows. My rosemary is growing pretty fast too. Basil plant still in recovery stage but will survive.

Throughout my gardening experience, my advice is to check on the plants every day and water it if the soil seem dry and crumbly. Also, make sure that the plant's roots are not exposed which happens quite a lot for my basil plant. Put rocks to avoid the soil from over-drying when the weather is sunny. My new attempt is to put cut out discs near the plant to prevent soil from over drying and also to reflect some light under the plants leaves. I hope this method can prevent bugs or pest that might hide under the leaves of my plant. I assume they don't really like direct sunlight and I want to annoy them if possible.

Why did I do gardening? It is quite easy to maintain plants. They do not need much attention, but check on them everyday to make sure that they have all the basic necessities such as sunlight, warm and nutrients.
Add more soil to pots that needs them and re-pot the plants that are too big for their pot size. Do these once a month is fine.
When you can finally harvest the seed that you sow, it is truly an awesome feeling.

My thyme herb now grows steadily since 9/3/15.
My rosemary plant now has 9 growing shoots.
Three days after 26/4/15, my mint plant survived and looks healthy as ever. Compare with the mint plant below.
(Above) From the 19/3/15 until 26/4/15, my basil plant seems to be growing well.
On the 23/4/15, I cut some of the stems of my mint plant and planted them on the soil. That's why they looks so weak.

Basil plant becomes weaker 4 days after being planted in new soil.
Basil plant wilted after 4 days planted in new soil.

Basil plant grew so well that I decided to replant the smaller ones to give the big ones more space to grow.

I have been feeling lethargic lately. Probably because I am stressed out about my upcoming exam end of this month!
How are you responding to the exams that you are least interested in but have to take nevertheless?
I have four exams to take this semester of my study at my university.  I am feeling slightly bored because I force myself to study a subject that is not quite to my liking and language. I have been procrastinating my study on this subject but it is time to face it head on.  I should take it as a challenge.  Easier said than done.  So this is what I do.
Whenever I am studying a subject that I don't like, I told myself this "Let's not hate this subject. " and "This is something that you have to know even if you might not use it in the future." It's a combination of history and moral studies called Modul Hubungan Etnik. It is true that I find some topic interesting but taking an exam and being graded for it is not fun, at all. Nevertheless,  I will do my best!
